Knitting Thru April – E is for Edges

Finishing a knitting project is probably the most important part.  Until that point, you are just working on a big amorphous fabric.  One of my favorite finishing components is the edging you can add to a garment.  I am completely enthralled with lace edgings.  Here are just a few lace edgings from Ravelry that I LOVE.

This baby hat is just too precious. Check out the cool leaves in the edging.  Adding this to my knitting to do list.

The rest of these are just really beautiful lace edges.  When I have more time to focus on my life (read when my kids are older) I am going to try some of these beautiful pieces of lace.

These are just a few examples of the beautiful lace edgings you can create to turn an ordinary garment into extraordinary keepsakes.  We will talk more specifically about lace and it’s the structure when we get to L.

This post is part of the A to Z Blogging Challenge.  Hop around and make some new friends.  Tomorrow we are looking at Fair Isle.
